Exposing Edith - Morning Music

Tuesday, October 24, 2017 - 11:00am
Lighthouse Theatre
75 minutes

French chanson meets contemporary as this performance charts the tragic life, loves and losses of arguably France’s greatest singer of all time, Edith Piaf.

Winner of the ‘Best Cabaret’ at Adelaide Fringe in 2016, Exposing Edith explores the ill-fated singer’s life through the songs that shot her to stardom. Enchanting ballads ‘La Vie en Rose’, ‘Milord and Non’ and ‘Je ne Regrette Rien’ are punctuated by a collection of stories of Piaf’s extraordinary life.

“Burger, in all essence, could be Piaf. The music is spectacular and she sings it with all the passion of the great lady herself” - Australian Stage
